a set of theories that explain the way a particular subject is understood at a particular time:

Showcasing true beauty and strength of ageing unapologetically.

Changing the narrative of midlife.

I am turning 50 this year and in the run up have become increasingly irritated by the tone and portrayal and representation of ageing and being in your fifties in the media.

So I decided to create a series of portraits depicting the strength, beauty and vitality of women turning fifty, or those already in their fifties sharing their thoughts on navigating midlife.

A personal project,
very close to my heart

Own the hell out of being 50

What being in your 50’s looks very different to 20 years ago, and even 10 years ago.

I know so many incredible vivacious and super stylish women either turning 50 or already in their fifties and the aim of the project is to photograph 50 women in their 50’s.

I want to help women feel good in their skin and celebrate this AMAZING time in their lives.

I also want to challenge thinking and attitudes around the current notions of ageing.
